There's a place in Torrance, you should contact Jenn Muise for more info. She'll know. You could also contact Kyodo because I know they order theirs from some company. I'm not sure where.
You can also try Taiko Center of Kyoto:

They may have a special price if you order in bulk. |

Kineya is a very good brand that most professionals use.
For some reason, I have their phone number for the manufacturer's business operating center... <.<
(048) 522-6581
And their fax number. (048) 522-6580
Unfortunately, they're based in Japan so shipping will cost a bit (unless you have someone who can buy them over there and send them to you...). These tabi will last quite a while, I can guarantee that since I use Kineya tabi. _________________ Akemi Imai, USC Kazan Artistic Co-Director aka Instructor |

For tabi, Kyodo Taiko goes through the following website:
http://www.cooleastmarket.com/us
It should cost about $20 a pair. It's best to contact through email and always ask for the bulk discount or else it's about $30. The style we use is Jikatabi Boots - Tall Tabi Boots.

Kyoei Treasures in Torrance, CA sells the low-top tabi - it works better for those who can't fit their calves in the high-top tabi as sold by SF taiko dojo. I believe its $30/pr and I'm not sure if they do bulk discount.
Overall, their tabi is pretty good quality - durable, and looks pretty good. Most of Raijin Taiko's tabi purchases this year were from here.
Kyoei Treasures
2370 Crenshaw Blvd. "J"
Torrance, CA 90501
It's in a little strip-mall plaza next to a Hanmi Bank. They also sell hapi, kimono, and Japanese fabric.

Any joint orders for UCLA teams generally happen after we take newbies in the Fall. If you contact our directors, (see the contact info section), I am sure Yukai or Kyodo are ordering them anyway so you are probably more than welcome to tag on. However, as I am not director anymore =P, time to ask them instead.
